DisasterTheory Hits Paper and Pen
It’s been a year since the release of the album Dying Side of Life and the boys in DisasterTheory are back at it, working on their second album.
There has been a few songs from the album leaked a few months ago, and a single released from the upcoming album. The single “What’s Up,” that will appear on the band’s second album, is a heavy cover of the 4 Non Blondes hit from almost three decades ago.
“The second album will be a bit heavier and includes even more touchy topics than the first album” says vocalist Mark Thomas. Some of the topics include depression and abuse to name a few. “We feel that these topics are inclusive to everyone. Everyone has bouts of depression. Many men and women go through abuse. It’s important that we tell these stories because it’s important that others who go through these things know that they aren’t alone in their experiences. They need to know that others go through these things too and at the end of the day, you can overcome.” he said.
The second album so far called “Destination Nowhere,” is not just a bunch of sadness, pain and tears however. “It’s heavy. There will be tracks on there that are just brutal. You need those. You can’t put out an album that touches the topics we touch, without balancing it out with some just kickass jams.” Thomas says.
